COMMON TERMS USED IN THESE RULES: These are the official rules (“Official rules”) that govern the Genesys Customer Innovation Awards contest promotion (“Contest”). In these rules, “we,” “our” and “us” refer to Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc. (“Genesys”), the sponsor of the Contest. “You” and “your” refer to an eligible Contest entrant, and “your company” refers to the Genesys customer (i) that you represent or (ii) on behalf of whom you have submitted your entry.
This is a skill-based contest. The object of this contest is to recognize customer representatives who are excelling at the use of Genesys services by judging entrants based on judging criteria. Each Customer Innovation Awards (CIA) submission you create and submit in the contest will be called an “entry.” Entry eligibility will be determined using the criteria in Paragraph 4. All eligible entries received will be judged using the criteria in Paragraph 7, and the judges will select one (1) partner and seven (7) customer representatives who will each receive the prize described below.
This contest starts at 12:01 AM PT on January 8, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM PT on March 8, 2024 (the “Entry Period”). Entries must be received within the entry period to be eligible. Any entries received outside of those dates will be disqualified. Genesys may, in its sole discretion, extend the contest end date for a reasonable period.
You are eligible to enter this contest if you meet the following requirements: You are least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; you are NOT an employee of Genesys or a Genesys group company; you are NOT a government employee; you do NOT work for a company that prohibits acceptance of the prize; you are NOT involved in any part of the administration and execution of this contest; and you are NOT an immediate family (parent, sibling, spouse, child) or household member of a Genesys employee, an employee of a Genesys group company, or a person involved in any part of the administration and execution of this contest.
You may submit an entry with respect to your company or with respect to another company. If you submit an entry with respect to another company, you agree to receive approval from that company to submit the entry and to make the statements made in these “Official rules” on behalf of that company.
To be eligible for judging, an entry must meet the following content/technical requirements: A user of any active Genesys solution in good standing may nominate himself or herself. A representative of a Genesys partner may nominate a user of such a solution at a customer. A Genesys employee may nominate a user of such a solution at a customer.
Additionally, the eligible entrant must be a current member of the Genesys Customer Advocacy Program (GCAP).
Nominations must be submitted via the 2024 Genesys Customer Innovation Awards website intake form. No hard copy nominations will be accepted. The online nomination may be augmented by supporting materials to assist judges in determining how well the nominee meets the criteria for the selected award. If including supporting materials, please also send these with the online nomination. You must have obtained any and all consents, approvals or licenses required for you to submit your entry; and your entry must not otherwise violate the rights of any other person or company by using their trademarks, music, logos, names, images or other intellectual property without their express written consent.
In addition, an eligible entrant must be able to (i) agree, on behalf of your company, to use of the company name and logo in association with all 2024 CIA promotion, news and publicity.
Other than what is set forth herein, we are not claiming any ownership rights to your entry. However, by submitting your entry, you, on behalf of yourself and your company, are granting us an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide rights and license to: (i) publicize, use, review, assess, test and otherwise analyze your entry and all its content in connection with this contest; and (ii) feature your entry and all its content in connection with the promotion of this contest in all media including customer success stories (now known or later developed). Furthermore, you, on behalf of yourself and your company, (i) agree to sign any necessary documentation that may be required for us and our designees to make use of the rights you granted above; (ii) understand and acknowledge that we may have independently developed or commissioned materials similar or identical to your submission, and waive any claims you or your company may have resulting from any similarities to your entry; (iii) understand that we cannot control the incoming information you will disclose to our representatives in the course of entering, or what our representatives will remember about your entry and (iv) understand that we will not restrict work assignments of representatives who have had access to your entry. By entering this contest, you, on behalf of yourself and your company, agree that use of information in our representatives’ unaided memories in the development or deployment of our products or services does not create liability for us under the “Official rules” or copyright or trade secret law; understand that neither you nor your company will receive any compensation or credit for use of your entry, other than what is described in these “Official rules.” Please note that following the end of this contest your entry may be posted on a website selected by us for viewing by visitors to that website. We are not responsible for any unauthorized use of your entry by visitors to this website. While we reserve these rights, we are not obligated to use your entry for any purpose, even if it has been selected as a winning entry. If you (or, if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian) or your company do not want to grant us these rights to your entry, please do not enter this contest.
To submit your entry, fill in the nomination form.
We are not responsible for entries that we do not receive for any reason, or for entries that we receive, but are not decipherable for any reason. We will automatically disqualify: (1) any incomplete or illegible entry; (2) any entries that we receive from you that are in excess of the entry limit described above; and (3) any entry that does not meet the nomination criteria (refer to rule #4).
A panel of Genesys and non-Genesys judges will review all eligible entries received and select, at their sole discretion, winners who are excelling at their use of Genesys. The decisions of the judges are final and binding. If we do not receive a sufficient number of entries meeting the entry requirements, we may, at our discretion, select fewer or more winners. In the event of a tie between any eligible entries, the tie may or may not be broken by an additional judge who will judge the tied entries based on the criteria listed above.
The winners will be awarded one fully paid trip to the Xperience 2024 event (round-trip economy airfare, event access, and 2 nights hotel stay) to Denver, Colorado. Genesys will only cover trip costs to one fully paid trip to the Xperience 2024 event. Location of the fully paid trip is up to the final discretion of Genesys based on a variety of factors including the customers’ originating city.
If, for any reason, the advertised prizes are unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Each winner of this contest: (1) may not exchange the prize for cash or any other merchandise or services; (2) may not designate someone else as the winner; and (3) if the winner chooses to accept a prize, will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the prize. If the winner is unable or unwilling to accept the prize, Genesys will award it to an alternate winner.
On or around April 1, 2024, Genesys will determine contest finalists and will notify within seven (7) days, following the selection by sending a message to the email address provided in the nomination form. Judges will vote in April 2024 to determine potential winners based on the criteria stated above. We will announce winners at Xperience 2024 in Denver, Colorado and via press release on May 13, 2024. If the winner is unreachable for any reason, we may award the prize to an alternate selected winner. If there is a dispute as to who is a winner, we will consider the winner to be the authorized account holder of the email address used in your entry, or the person residing at the mailing address listed on your mail-in entry. We may require winners to sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability/publicity release. If a winner does not sign and return these required forms within the time period listed on the winner notification message, we may disqualify the winner and select an alternate winner.
