It’s said that superheroes aren’t born out of their circumstances; they develop as a result of how they respond and, inevitably, rise above them. It's a matter of perspective: You can dwell on past failures or learn from them and move forward. In this episode of the “Take a Moment” podcast, John Qualls, Purpose.ly CEO and founder of countless cloud technology companies, talks about how he used his failures to propel him to success. In this mini-workshop on entrepreneurship, learn from this serial innovator what it takes to build successful companies — and how the intersection of talent and purpose is key to building the right employee culture.
John Qualls is the CEO and President of Purposely, a company enabling organizations to benchmark their culture for employee acquisition, retention and growth. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Gulf War Qualls returned to Indiana and co-founded Bluelock, a managed cloud-hosting provider. He was recognized as a 40 Under 40 by the Indiana Business Journal and in 2009, he was a finalist for the Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of Year award.
